Spine & Back

Facet Joint Arthritis

Degenerative arthritis of the small spinal facet joints causing localized or referred back pain that is often worse with extension and rotation but present at rest as well.

SI Joint Ligament Laxity

Stretched or injured sacroiliac ligaments causing chronic low back, hip, and buttock pain. One of the most underdiagnosed causes of low back pain, often due to limited success with standard orthopedic treatments.

Cervical Ligament Laxity (Post-Whiplash)

Chronic neck pain and instability from whiplash-related ligament injury. Often accompanied by headaches, cervicogenic dizziness, and neurological symptoms that do not resolve with standard care.

Discogenic Pain (Selected Cases)

Pain originating from intervertebral disc degeneration where surgical intervention is not indicated. Regenerative options can support the functional spinal unit to reduce pain and improve mechanics.

Coccydynia

Chronic tailbone pain from trauma, childbirth, or ligamentous instability. Often persistent and debilitating, and frequently unaddressed by conventional care.

Spinal Nerve Sensitization

Neurogenic pain patterns in the spine and radiating into the limbs. Often driven by sensitized nerve roots and surrounding soft tissue rather than by a purely mechanical problem.

Cervicogenic Headache

Headache originating from the cervical spine, driven by sensitized upper cervical nerve branches and often accompanying chronic neck pain, whiplash injury, or cervical ligament laxity. Frequently misdiagnosed and resistant to standard headache treatments.

Shoulder

Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy

Degenerative changes in the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, or subscapularis tendons causing pain and weakness with overhead and rotational movements.

Rotator Cuff Tears

Full and partial thickness tears that can be from acute injuries or chronic degenerative changes. Regenerative orthobiologic treatments can provide non-surgical alternatives for many cases.

Calcific Tendinopathy

Calcium deposits within the rotator cuff tendons causing acute or chronic shoulder pain. Conventionally these cases do not have great treatment options, but regenerative orthobiologics and shockwave can be very helpful.

Shoulder Instability

Ligamentous and capsular laxity causing recurrent subluxation or full dislocations, or a sense of instability with overhead activity. Regenerative treatments can strengthen the glenohumeral and supporting ligaments through targeted injection.

Bicipital Tendinopathy

Inflammation and degeneration or tearing of the long head of the biceps tendon causing anterior shoulder pain that worsens with lifting and overhead use.

Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)

Progressive shoulder stiffness and pain from capsular inflammation and fibrosis. Regenerative approaches address the inflammatory and neurogenic components better than conventional approaches.

Shoulder Labral Tears

Tears of the fibrocartilaginous labrum surrounding the shoulder joint, causing joint instability, impingement, and clicking. Regenerative options may be appropriate for non-surgical cases and for lingering pain post-surgery.

Elbow, Wrist & Hand

Lateral Epicondylosis (Tennis Elbow)

Degenerative tendinopathy or tearing at the lateral elbow causing persistent pain with gripping and wrist extension. One of the most evidence-supported conditions for PRP therapy in sports medicine.

Medial Epicondylosis (Golfer's Elbow)

Degenerative tendinopathy or tearing at the medial elbow causing persistent pain with gripping and lifting, often with an elbow joint injury component.

De Quervain's Tenosynovitis

Inflammation and thickening of the tendons on the thumb side of the wrist causing pain with gripping, pinching, and thumb movement — common in new parents and repetitive-use occupations.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Median nerve compression at the wrist causing numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand. Addressing nerve inflammation directly can be an alternative to surgical treatments.

Wrist Ligament Laxity

Chronic wrist instability and pain from stretched scapholunate or other carpal ligaments, present often following a fall or repetitive strain injury that did not fully heal.

Trigger Finger / Stenosing Tenosynovitis

Painful catching or locking of a finger caused by inflammation of the tendon sheath. Treating the cause of tendon or tendon sheath inflammation can treat the issue at the root cause.

Elbow Osteoarthritis

Degenerative loss of cartilage in the elbow joint causing pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion — often the cumulative result of prior injuries, or repetitive loading over time.

Hand, Wrist & Finger Osteoarthritis

Degenerative arthritis of the small joints of the hand and wrist, including the base of the thumb (CMC joint), finger joints (PIP/DIP), and wrist, causing pain, stiffness, and loss of grip strength.

Pronator Syndrome

Entrapment and inflammation of the median nerve in the forearm at the pronator teres muscle, causing forearm and hand pain that can resemble carpal tunnel syndrome but does not respond to standard carpal tunnel treatment.

UCL and RCL Ligament Sprains (Elbow)

Acute pain or chronic elbow instability or pain from incompletely healed ulnar or radial collateral ligament injuries. Common in throwing athletes and those with a history of elbow trauma.

Radial Tunnel Syndrome

Compression or inflammation of the radial nerve in the forearm causing lateral elbow and forearm pain that can mimic or coexist with lateral epicondylosis. The nerve component is frequently missed when only the tendon is treated.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Compression of nerves or vessels in the neck and shoulder region causing arm pain, numbness, and tingling. Often misdiagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Hip

Hip Osteoarthritis

Progressive joint degeneration causing groin pain, reduced range of motion, and difficulty with daily activities. Regenerative injections may slow progression and reduce pain and work as an alternative to steroid injections and hip replacement surgery.

Gluteal Tendinopathy

Degeneration or tearing of the gluteal tendons at their attachment to the greater trochanter. A common cause of lateral hip pain that is often misdiagnosed as trochanteric bursitis.

Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome

Lateral hip pain complex involving the gluteal tendons and trochanteric bursa. Can be caused by a combination of tendon, ligament, and bursa issues.

Hip Labral Tears

Tears of the fibrocartilaginous labrum surrounding the hip socket, causing deep groin pain and clicking. Regenerative options may be appropriate for non-surgical cases.

SI Joint Dysfunction

Sacroiliac joint pain from ligament laxity or joint degeneration. A very common cause of low back and hip pain, and an even more commonly missed diagnosis altogether.

Hamstring Tendinopathy

Degeneration or tearing of the proximal hamstring attachment at the ischial tuberosity causing deep buttock pain with sitting and hamstring loading.

Knee

Knee Osteoarthritis

Degenerative loss of cartilage leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced function. One of the most common reasons patients seek regenerative care as an alternative to steroid injections & knee replacement.

Meniscus Tears

Age-related or injury-related meniscal damage that causes pain, catching, and swelling. Regenerative therapies may support tissue healing and reduce pain without surgery.

Patellar Tendinopathy (Jumper's Knee)

Chronic degeneration of the patellar tendon, common in athletes and active patients. Often responds well to a combined shockwave and PRP protocol.

Knee Ligament Injury (ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL)

Chronic instability from stretched or incompletely healed cruciate or collateral ligaments. Prolotherapy stimulates collagen remodeling to strengthen lax ligaments; PRP supports partial tears where tissue healing is the goal.

Pes Anserine Bursitis

Inflammation of the bursa on the inner side of the knee, often overlapping with osteoarthritis and knee joint/ligament instability.

Knee Pain with Nerve Hypersensitivity

Burning, electric, or allodynic knee pain often driven by sensitized saphenous or infrapatellar nerve branches. A neurogenic inflammation that structural treatments alone will not resolve, and is an often missed cause of knee pain.

Iliotibial Band Syndrome

Lateral knee and hip pain from IT band friction and fascial restriction that is common in runners and cyclists. Shockwave addresses the myofascial component; PIT treats the neurogenic sensitization that develops in chronic cases.

Ankle & Foot

Plantar Fasciitis

One of the most common chronic causes of foot pain. Long-standing cases often involve fascial degenerative changes and local nerve entrapment and inflammation, requiring a combination treatment approach.

Achilles Tendinopathy

Degeneration or tearing of the Achilles tendon causing chronic posterior heel or calf pain that limits walking, running, and daily activity.

Chronic Ankle Instability

Persistent joint instability and ligament laxity due to incompletely healed ankle ligaments. Addressing the ligaments and joints from a regenerative approach can reduce the risk of recurrent sprains.

Ankle Osteoarthritis

Morton's Neuroma

Perineural fibrosis and inflammation around the interdigital nerve causing burning forefoot pain and the sensation of walking on a pebble.

Peroneal Tendinopathy

Degeneration of the peroneal tendons on the outer ankle causing lateral ankle pain that is often mistaken for a chronic ankle sprain or instability.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

Compression or inflammation of the posterior tibial nerve at the ankle causing burning pain, numbness, and tingling along the sole of the foot.

Systemic & Nerve Conditions

Fibromyalgia / Widespread Musculoskeletal Pain

Diffuse pain driven by central sensitization and often by peripheral neurogenic inflammation, hormonal imbalance, sleep dysfunction, and gut dysbiosis, most effectively addressed through a comprehensive integrative approach.

Occipital Neuralgia

Chronic headache and neck pain driven by sensitized greater and lesser occipital nerves, often misdiagnosed as migraine and frequently resistant to common anti-inflammatory medications.

Meralgia Paresthetica

Compression or sensitization of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve causing outer thigh burning, tingling, and numbness.

Hormonal & Metabolic Musculoskeletal Pain

Musculoskeletal pain driven by thyroid dysfunction, sex hormone decline, or metabolic syndrome. These systemic drivers of pain are not addressed through standard orthopedic care.

Hypermobility Syndromes (including EDS)

Generalized joint laxity and instability from connective tissue dysfunction, including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and related hypermobility spectrum disorders. Prolotherapy is one of the most clinically validated regenerative approaches for strengthening unstable joints across multiple regions.

Post-Herpetic Neuralgia

Persistent burning, electric, or allodynic pain following shingles, caused by ongoing inflammation of the affected nerves long after the viral rash has resolved.

Intercostal Neuralgia

Chronic pain along the ribcage and chest wall driven by sensitized intercostal nerve branches. A condition that is often poorly addressed by standard pain management approaches focused on structural causes.

Myofascial Pain & Trigger Points

Chronic muscle and fascial pain from persistent trigger point activity, often resistant to manual therapy alone, with local joint instability being a common underlying persistent cause.

Bone Spurs and Calcifications

Calcium deposits and bony overgrowths at tendon/ligament attachments and joint margins, including calcific tendinopathy of any region, heel spurs, and enthesophytes.
